Certificate III in Health Services Assistance

Students in this program will receive Certificate III Health Services Assistant, which involves skills such as interpreting medical terminology, cultural safety for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander populations, and individualized support as well as a pathway into a traineeship. Students will be provided with all the resources and tools they need to successfully complete this program.

Connect ‘n’ Grow delivers the HLT20113 Certificate II in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care for Year 11 – 12 students as part of the First Peoples Health Program.

School Requirements



  • Teacher or Trainer (program deliverer)

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or TAE40116). Available here >

  • Health / HPE Teaching Experience

  • Additional Health Work experience is encouraged but IS NOT ESSENTIAL.
